—Where storytelling shapes the guest experience.

Narrative. Space. Atmosphere.
chd was founded with the belief that the most compelling hospitality spaces are not built around trends, but around stories that connect architecture, interior design, and human behavior into a cohesive whole.

We work primarily with restaurants, bars, and hospitality-driven environments, translating narrative concepts into spatial sequences, tactile materials, and atmospheres that unfold over time. Design decisions are guided by context, cultural reference, and the emotional journey of the guest.

How the Studio Works
chd operates as a focused, principal-led studio with a highly collaborative, project-specific model. The studio works closely with architects, engineers, consultants, fabricators, and artisans—assembling the right expertise for each project while maintaining a singular design vision.

This approach allows for flexibility, precision, and a high level of personal involvement throughout all phases of a project.

Principal & Founder
chd is led by Demetris Charalambous, principal designer and founder.

With a multidisciplinary background in Interior Design and Exhibition Design, Demetris brings a narrative-driven approach to hospitality interiors—one informed by spatial psychology, cultural storytelling, and a deep sensitivity to material and detail. His work draws influence from Mediterranean traditions, contemporary urban contexts, and the curatorial logic of museum and exhibition spaces.

Each project is personally shaped and guided by the principal, ensuring continuity of vision from concept through execution.

Design Approach
Every project begins with a story.

The studio’s process is rooted in understanding place, culture, and the intended guest experience before form is defined. Concepts are developed through narrative frameworks that guide spatial planning, material selection, lighting, and detailing—resulting in environments that feel cohesive, purposeful, and emotionally resonant.

The work favors timelessness over novelty, atmosphere over decoration, and meaning over excess.
